Monkodonja in Istria

This is the winner of a Diploma.

The excavation, study and presentation of a fortified proto-urban settlement with stone architecture from the bronze age (1800-1200 BC), situated between the Mediterranean and the European continents.

Through long-term cooperation, many experts from the most diverse fields were continuously engaged in parallel exploration, examination and reconstruction in situ. Restoration works have been carried out on structures representing the entrance complex, residential buildings and defensive walls.
